Critical Thinking and Media Literacy

Nowadays we see all kinds of things on social media: crazy news, shocking videos, inspiring quotes but not everything is true. Sometimes we share without thinking, just because it looked interesting or we saw it too many times. And that’s the problem.

Studying tourism and learning English has helped me realize that information is also part of the journey. Knowing what to believe, what to share, and how to express ourselves is key. It’s not about doubting everything it’s about looking with more awareness.

Critical thinking and media literacy aren’t just for journalists. They’re for us: young people, students, and anyone trying to grow in this digital world. Think before you speak, verify before you share. Because words and information can build… or destroy.
